According to the statement, it does not matter who incites the violence because the attacks lack any sane justifications.
Wabba said in the statement, “It is even more absurd that the attacks are directed against Africans from countries that played active roles in the struggle against apartheid.


A Nigerian envoy in South Africa has ruled out the possibility of immediate evacuation of citizens from the nation that has seen days of xenophobic attacks in different provinces.

The Acting High Commissioner to South Africa, Mr Martin Cobham, said it was a bit too early to consider the option of evacuation of Nigerians.



 Over 300 people have been arrested for perpetuating various crimes against foreigners in the latest wave of xenophobic attacks in South Africa.

Al Jazeera reports that 307 suspects had been arrested for a range of xenophobic-related crimes even as security agencies have also reportedly increased the police presence on the ground after at least eight deaths in anti-immigrant violence in the past week.
