Some Muslim youths on Friday stormed the
Kano Government House and the palace of the Emir of Kano, Mahammad
Sanusi II, to protest an alleged blaspheming of Prophet Mohammed (SAW)
by a Tijjani preacher, Abdul Nyass.
The protesters, armed with sticks and
other dangerous weapons, stormed the streets of the city to express
their anger over Nyass’ alleged blasphemous statements against Prophet
Mohammed.
The youths attempted to gain entry into
the Kano State Government House, but were prevented by security
operatives, who had hectic time calming them.
