The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari has said that he will not debate with President Goodluck Jonathan because the President’s record while in office is public knowledge.

APC candidate also assured that he had become a converted democrat and
as such would ensure strict adherence to the constitution if elected.
"I want to assure you that Nigerian constitution will be adhered to,” Buhari said.
“I
cannot change the past but I can change the present and future.
Dictatorship goes with military which made possible decree four. I am a
former military leader. Note the emphasis on former. But I am now a
converted democrat,” he added.
“I give full assurances to Nigeria media will be free under an APC government,” he said,” the former Head of State said.
The event was also attended by the former Vice President and former APC Presidential aspirant, Atiku Abubakar.
